Stephen Turrell CEng FBCS CITP AssocRICS
Stephen was appointed a Director of the firm in April 2015. This was in recognition of his increasing responsibility and leadership in our Topographical Survey and Land Registry provisions where he worked with us as an Associate for nearly 10 years. He is the RICS Firm Principle.
Stephen's dual-expertise in land surveying and computing science has been a considerable asset in the ever more technical Geospatial arena where he has incorporated and utilised GNSS RTK and other new technologies to enhance our surveying provisions and led the development of our in-house software.
His previous experience in Geospatial software has included developing systems for the Land Registry, Valuation Office Agency & Registers of Scotland.
He is qualified with PGDip Surveying with distinction from the University College of Estate Management and is professionally qualified with AssocRICS (Land & Engineering pathway).
He is also qualified with a BSc(hons) Computing Science from Staffordshire and PGDip Software Engineering from Oxford. He is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered IT Professional and Fellow of the British Computer Society.
Joe Wilson MBCS AssocRICS
Joe is the Accountable Manager for our CAA Permission for Commercial Operation (PfCO). This is the regulatory licence for commercial drone operation.
Joe joined the firm in October 2015. He leads our Measured Bulding Survey and UAV Topographical provisions.
His dual-expertise as an Engineering Surveyor and in Geospatial Technology is a considerable asset where his efforts and insights have been key to building our HDS laser scanning and photogrammetry-based UAV provision.
Joe is qualified with a Diploma in Engineering Surveying and is professionally qualified with AssocRICS (Geospatial pathway) and MBCS (Professional Member of the British Computer Society).
As with all our operatives, Joe has CSCS Gold Card for site work and a clear DBS Enhanced check (inc. Children's barring list).
Your UAV & HDS surveys are in safe hands, managed by a certified UAV pilot & laser scanning expert of Joe's calibre.
The Founder of Offington, Peter, took a back seat in 2015 to focus on his dream self-build project.
He finally relinquished his tape and notebook and stepped down from the board in 2019, after 20 years and well into his 70s.
He is enjoying retirement and spending time with his wife & many grandchildren.
He is not directly involved with Offington now, but keeps a watching brief and passes comment from time to time..
